Admissions

Enrollment for the 2011/2012 school year is now open! Please submit a completed enrollment contract and include the deposit to reserve a spot for the upcoming school year.

If you wish to pay your tuition deposit with a credit card, please use our secure online registration.

School Calendar

Our calendar for 2011/2012 is very similar to area school district calendars with some minor changes. Classes will start on September 6th, 2011 and end on June 7th, 2012. We have several fun events scheduled throughout the year including family nights, science fair, history/geography fair, musicals, and an end of year concert and ceremony. Fees for 2011/2012 School Year

Tuition (All Day Kindergarten)
The yearly tuition for the all day kindergarten program is only $3250. Payment must be made in two equal installments (by 8/15/2011 and by 1/15/2012).

A monthly option is also available which spreads the payments over 9 months (August 15th through April 15). If you enroll in the automatic payment plan, the total yearly tuition for this option is $3365. Without the automatic payment plan, the total yearly tuition for this option is $3455.

If your child starts after the start of the school year, these rates are prorated based on your start date.

Tuition (1st Grade - 6th Grade)
The yearly tuition for the elementary program is $5590. Payment must be made in two equal installments (by 8/15/2011 and by 1/15/2012).

A monthly option is also available which spreads the payments over 9 months (August 15th through April 15). If you enroll in the automatic payment plan, the total yearly tuition for this option is $5750. Without the automatic payment plan, the total yearly tuition for this option is $5840.

Multiple Student Discount
Starting in the 2011/2012 school year, we are now offering the following discounts for families that enroll multiple students:

  • Second student will receive $250 off the yearly tuition
  • Third student will receive $500 off the yearly tuition
  • Additional students will receive $750 off the yearly tuition

The discounts are valid for all grades including kindergarten and are pro-rated across all monthly payments.

Extended Day Programs
We are also offering an extended day program. The morning session runs from 7am to 9am and the afternoon session runs from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Families have the option of picking one or both sessions.

Payment due dates follow the same schedule as was selected for tuition. The yearly cost is $1100 per session or $2200 for both morning and afternoon. If the monthly tuition payment option is selected, the yearly cost is $1170 per session or $2340 for both morning and afternoon. The daily option is $10 per session.

Activity Fee
The activity fee for all students is $250.00. This fee covers field trips and other special events that will occur throughout the school year. This fee is due with the first tuition payment.

Bus Rebate

Most school districts will re-imburse you if you do not use their bus service and you transport your child to Journey Montessori Academy. For the 2010/2011 school year, the Lakeville district (ISD #194) issued a rebate of $300 per child. Some forms have to be submitted immediately after the start of the school year. Please check with your district for more details.

Each summer we run an exciting Summer Program called "Passport to the World" that introduces students to a variety of countries and cultures. Please check it out!

Tutoring now available!

We now provide reasonably priced tutoring for all ages in all subjects. We offer one-on-one tutoring at times that are convenient for you. Students are not required to attend our school to take advantage of our tutoring program - all are welcome! Please Contact Us for more information or to schedule a time.

Summer School

We had a fun summer and learned a lot about different countries around the world during our "Passport to the World" program. Check out our Summer Program to see where we went this summer. We will be back next summer for another world tour!
